Well, My Garden is not as Happy as it was Last year but my Friend JUPE in Santa Barbara has done it TOO, Now!
Would you PLEASE Join me in Celebrating the Magnificent Achievement of JUPE this Year?

As it says on my Research Web Page http://members.cox.net/sageseeds/ :

QUOTE
January 20th, 2007: My Buddy Jupe in Santa Barbara sent his Seeds to the Salvia Divinorum Research and Information Center where Mr. Siebert CONFIRMED That he HAS Grown Genuine Salvia Divinorum Seeds out of Doors in an Area that Gets Frost!

Mr. Siebert Kindly took some NICE Pictures and sent them to Jupe.
Bild: http://members.cox.net/sageseeds/seedsbyjupe.jpg
A few Seeds got Smashed: but THESE are Genuine FRESH Salvia Divinorum Seeds! I did it Last year: but this Man has Done MUCH Better than me THIS YEAR! It is Proven beyond any reasonable Doubt that Salvia Divinorum IS Self Fertile: and that you can EXPECT 'a few' Viable Seeds to result from hand Pollination of your Salvia Plant's Flowers! I'm Just as Stoked as If MY trees gave me seeds this Year: You can See for yourself that Mr Valdés, and my, Results HAVE been Duplicated ...

Everyone considered me an 'expert' last year when I showed up with some Salvia Seeds I had gotten from my Garden. But Jupe is an Expert Gardener, and HAS Proved that Anyone can get Salvia Divinorum Seeds!

JUPE Said he WOULD follow my Growing Guide and try for ONE Seed. I AM so VERY Proud of my dear Friend!

So, if EVER you get FLOWERS then you COULD get Seeds! Seeds are now know to be able to set at lower temperatures than thought before ...

Carl

You would like to see this picture of a salvia divinorum tree growing in a big flower pot in my Backyard.

Bild: http://members.cox.net/thegarden/picturefiles/69.jpg

That photograph was taken April 4th. It is in the biggest flower pot I can find. (24" across/deep).

I need a ladder to work on the tree top now. w00t.png w00t.png w00t.png w00t.png w00t.png

That tree is 2 years old.

the plants benefited from the love you give them...

i hope, my babysalvia feels all right in the conditions, that i can give her...
how many hours pro day should i give her direkt sunlight?
most people say salvia don't need more than 2 or 3 hours direkt sunlight for best growingresults. what are your experiences?

did this plant, that you posted here, arised in the shadow???

greetings

Salvia divinorum is a Tropical rain forest plant. Here in San Diego, California even one hour of direct sunlight a day does long term damage to the plant. In Mexico the natives plant Salvia under their Coffee Trees. Shade most of the day is what Salvia wants.

In Germany an Hour or two of sun may be OK, per day.

I took new pictures of SOME of my Plants today. ALL the Plants on the North side of my house are not in this Picture. Here is me peeking through my Biggest Plant:

Here the Baby plant I hold has some of its leaves larger than my hands:

I wish you all happy growing ...

seriously, your plants are amazing... i always chop my plants into smaller ones or rip off all the leaves before they even get around 3 oder 4 feet tall wink.gif
I think the biggest problem is that all the big and bushy plants i have get infected by pests like aphids and stuff and i can't kill em all when they have so many places to hide...

i keep em short and simple bye.gif

If I put them outside end of march they're able to stand all the sun in the summer... however if i forget to put em outside while the sun is still weak, they'll get burned badly when I put em outside in mid-summer. :/

Hey Mac,

Congratulation, they're awesome! How old are the plants now?

Hi CC!
bye.gif bye.gif bye.gif

A garden picture update for you to look at.

The Big Plant in this Picture is 25 and a half Months Old Now.
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/20070613largestsalviadivinorumtreeincaptivity.jpg

He is surrounded by 2 foot high plants so you cannot see the tree for the Forest ... mrgreen.gif

This 'baby' plant was barely 4 months old when I named her "Sally" and gave her a 10" pot (And Measured her):

Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200705/20070524sallyis26inches.jpg
She was 26 inches high (66 cm) and she had a Lovely leaf a foot long (30 cm) ...

Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200705/20070524footlongleaf.jpg
These two pictures were taken May 24th 2007.

3 Weeks later (June 13th - 3 days ago) I measured "Sally" again.

w00t.png biggrin.gif cool.gif mrgreen.gif
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/20070613sallyis41inches.jpg

The SAME PLANT (The one on the left with measuring tape against it) 3 weeks Later is now 41 Inches tall (105 cm)!

And she has even bigger leaves now at (34 cm) thirteen inches:
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/20070613leaf13incheslong.jpg

In 21 days this plant grew fifteen inches! mrgreen.gif That is ALMOST 2 centimeters (Or 2/3 Inch) PER DAY!!!!

NOW I know for SURE that my plants DO grow from a quarter to a half an inch a day and it's NOT my imagination! I measured the one that was trying to get away: it was growing so fast ...

I can't stop them from Growing! In another month or two I'll put another picture up for you all to drool over ... mrgreen.gif

Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200705/20070531giveawaymaster01.jpg
I will drown in Salvia plants soon unless I can give most of them away.

I cannot ship them to a foreign country because I cannot deal with the customs/Export prohibitions.

But if you have a relative living in USA maybe they will get 3 BIG Growing Plants in a box from me and unpack them: a week later THEY can pack them up again and Ship you Big, fast growing, healthy Salvia plants (to Germany).

Happy summer Salvia growing everybody!

I think you are right. Today I looked around at the plants, that aren't Salvia, growing in my Garden and ALL of them are Growing VERY Strong! All of the OTHER kinds of plants are growing super big and super fast also, Right NOW!

Every plant has gotten VERY Large! (The peppermint, mrgreen.gif
The elephants ears: I was just teasing the elephants ears a few minutes ago mrgreen.gif mrgreen.gif by saying I was going to use one of the leaves as an umbrella!) mrgreen.gif mrgreen.gif
I think I know what my secret is (Besides dosing everything once a month with Miracle-Gro) - I TALK to my Plants!

I ask if there is anything they would like, in that high pitched 'baby talk' voice you save for cherished Companion Animals or infants, and I ACTUALLY Pause as if to hear an answer from them.

I Am starting to think they answer me by growing FASTER! When I get 18 cuttings the leftover pile of leaves taken off them is HUGE:
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/20070618quidknee.jpg

And Look at all the 2 foot tall "Baby Plants" in THIS Photograph:
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/june18babies.gif

I'm holding a very branchy baby in THIS Picture: branches are going every which way ...
Bild: http://seamac.info/cupboard/garage/garden/200706/20070613eastsidegang.jpg

So I'm starting to think that TALKING to Your Plants makes them grow faster! I get an Impression of what it is they want, if anything, in those pauses: I think the Salvia plants are Telepathic and are training me to "Listen in" to their minds!

It sounds really crazy. But look at my results ...

Or are you just growing.
