How Large Can Potted Salvia Plants Grow?, Does size matter?

Salvia D. ist already lost in Germany.
The legal state in the future will be the same as for heroine and cocaine. That salvia is a very interesting plant for pharmacological use, is ignored by the government.

I'm sorry to hear the German government is so short sighted. It sounds as if they flaunt their ability to circumvent the regulations that supposedly limit abuse of power in your collective faces. We are not supposed to be able to outlaw anything we want within a 2 month period - but we will!

Do you grow any other psychoactive plants than Salvia D.?
And do u actually even use it, or is Salvia D. just another botanical fosterling in your green collection?

Concerned campaigning here in California DID make a Difference! The bills sponsor (Assemblyman Adams) apparently read the opposition letters and did the research. There will be many medicines in the future made from what Salvia can teach us about the human brain.

The bills sponsor Changed the text of the bill to make it like Maine's LD66: It shall be a Misdemeanor to sell Salvia to Minors. We need more responsible legislators like Assemblyman Adams who actually DO the Research and act to make responsible laws! The bill adds section 379 to the penal code and it's about half way through the process of becoming law.

I think if the government does try to ban it there will be too much research proving it not dangerous or addictive by then. Your government decided not to look at the research by pretending it doesn't exist. I sorrow for German freedoms ...

San Pedro and Morning Glories.

I haven't used those. I seldom use Salvia anymore ... but I enjoy mild effects. I cannot (yet) get "Out Of Body" (OOB) experiences with it. I'm considered by most to be Very "Hardheaded"

Time for another update ...

I found out that the US DEA thinks Salvia Divinorum plants are scrawny little knee high sticks ...


You see? People are twice as tall as Salvia plants (Whether potted or planted): our illustrious government, in its immense wisdom, has said so!

I beg to differ. Potted or planted Salvia plants will grow as TALL As You support their stems to: and then flop outwards from that point.

The plant is rubber like a hose: Suppose you grew a hose plant next to a flagpole? As long as you tied the hose to the flagpole every foot up its length, as it grew, it wouldn't want to stop at all! 4 feet over the top of the flagpole the plant would bend outward from the top ....

I answered the question I asked to start this topic with. But I don't have a mile high flagpole next to my favorite hose plant so they'll HAVE To stop SOMEWHERE ... Probably when they reach the roof.

I think these plants LIKE It here in San Diego!

So, if they never stop growing I'll have to post another picture in a month - to keep you updated.

I don't have any seeds this year. I'll try again this fall.

I am always amazed at your wonderful growing capability.
The DEA is as corrupt or more so than the illicit drug dealers. They like to make things up.
Lets all move to Canada, I hear they have amazing non-analogue laws. Something tells me that the Feds, are going to schedule it the same as mescaline and such.
