As I first saw your plants I was lost for words, and nothing changed actually.

You have to imagine we do have plants that are maybe 30cms up to 1,5m. It is as you would compare, a orb-weaver spider with an Goliath birdeater.

It's just so amazing w00t.png

Best wishes to you and your plants

Hey: I'm not dead yet. angel.png

A lot has happened since I last Wrote here.

A Short summary:
My garden was lost (all but 1 plant) when the cruel landlord (who was robbing me for years) gave me 60 days notice to move out.

I was blessed to find a new house at which I could start over. A year ago I started over.

A Friend left 2 'Blosser' strain plants in my care 'for safekeeping'. I named them "Dearie" and "Darling".

The 'Aquarian' strain plant grew back from a dead looking root ball in the Old pot. Only Survivor of Old Garden. sad.gif His name is "American". Other "baby" plants have Serial Codes and Birth Times on their pots but haven't taken names for themselves yet.

So, now we have a new location to grow in. And, Somehow, I have gotten these plants to behave crazily again. mrgreen.gif

First: you can easily get seeds from Salvia plants. The HARD Trick is getting them to flower.

I knew this. So I placed a 10 foot 'wall' (with a 'roof') of Black Tarpaulins around the garden area this fall. Then I put the 2 BIG 'Blosser' plants back in the dark to grow.

"American" (Sole Survivor of Old Garden)

I have Pollinated 3 days in a row. And you all have a front row seat - again - as another batch of Plants slowly overruns my house and Give Me SEEDS!

Namaste!

3 years Later I show up in a new location with a new garden.

You don't really want to know how dark things got for me in those 3 years. I was dealing with some VERY Evil People ....

But, It IS Enough that God rescued me from them and placed me in the Light - to grow again!

Seeing you around again soon.

Welcome back!
In Europe we can keep Salvia plants only outdoor in summer. If the plants never get artificial light at night, they will flower every year.

Nice plants. w00t.png

Here on the Southern California coast the winter temps are in the 50's at Night and 60's in the Daytime. Tropical Plants grow everywhere in my neighborhood: Datura/Bananas/Dagga/Plantains/Salvia ... Never gets down to freezing on the Coast! (It does inland though)

My plants grow quickly every day: and then sleep well at night. Don't think I would like to grow 8' tall plants indoors ....

Outside is FINE! I've never seen flower season start up so thick before!

Yes I know, that it's holy shit, that we cant grow salvia outdoors all over the year. But indoor grow has also advantages. No snails, no Insects, hydroponic. So you can get dreamlike plants with dreamlike leafs. Indoor grow ist only nervous and expensive. cwy.png

Indoor with good lighting (and sticks supporting stems) you can get plants 1 to 2 meters tall - nothing wrong with THAT!

By setting the lights to 11 hours light and 13 hours dark your plants will bloom whatever the season!

There ARE advantages to indoor growing!

The 'Aquarian' Strain plant has 5 or 6 seeds developing on 2 different racemes.

The 2 'Blossers' are just getting revved up and I began pollinating them today.
